Child Autism Assessment
£1650
We take pride in following the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines for autism assessment. Our assessments are carried out by a minimum of two high specialist clinicians. We use 'gold standard' recommended assessment tools and work as a team to reach our conclusions. We offer assessment from the age of 5 years.
Our assessment process
Step 1: Parent only online initial consultation. If your child is slightly older they may wish to attend too.

Step 2: Parent only diagnostic interview. Older children are also welcome to attend.

Step 3: Your child attends an in person assessment (called the ADOS) in Wokingham (Berkshire) or North Clapham (London). Children aged 14 and over can also attend at our Southampton clinic.

Step 4: Questionnaires completed by parents, your child's school/college and sometimes your child.
Step 5: We discuss all of the information that we have gathered and review any reports you have shared (e.g. school reports or mental health reports).

Step 6: You and your child attend an online follow up appointment to discuss the outcome of the assessment. For younger children, you may wish to attend a parent only appointment and share the outcome with them at a later date.

After your child's assessment
You will receive a detailed report that includes your child's strengths, challenges and our recommendations. If a diagnosis if given, a shorter report to share with your child's school will be given. We can recommend therapists, coaches and other psychologists who can work with your child's psychological needs and post-diagnosis adjustment, if this would be helpful.
